I've worked on several studies and speed paintings for practice lately. I've found out that I have to increase the number of paintings instead of the details in every painting to improve my skills. Besides, it gave me the opportunity to create loads of custom brushes that take use of the new dynamics settings in GIMP 2.8.
For these 12 pieces I took reference to the photo desk calendar 2012 of the Austrian Alpine Association. I allowed myself between 30 and 90 minutes for each of these, depending on the complexity and on my spare time... I'm quite happy how they came out!
